1. What is Moringa?

Moringa is a leafy green tree that’s packed with vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. It is a plant that is often called drumstick tree, horseradish tree or miracle tree. Moringa is a fast growing plant that thrives in hot, arid climates and is used all over the world because of its antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

2. What does Moringa taste like?

Moringa powder has a similar flavour to matcha. The flavour works well with smoothies, yoghurt or dishes like curries.

 

3. What are the health benefits of Moringa?

Moringa is a superfood.  A side-by-side comparison shows that moringa has 2 x protein of yoghurt, 4 x vitamin A of carrots, 3 x potassium of bananas, and 6 x iron as kale. Moringa is caffeine free with many users describing a feeling of sustained energy throughout the day when added to their daily diet.

4. Are there any side effects from consuming Moringa?

Moringa powder comes from the leaves of the moringa tree. It can be used to detox the body and is high in fibre. Because of this, it is important to start with only 1 teaspoon of moringa added to your dish of choice and see how your body responds.

7. Can I take Moringa while pregnant or breast-feeding?

Moringa is used by new mothers for breastfeeding. Some studies have shown in women during postpartum days, who take moringa oleifera leaf extract twice daily appear to increase their milk production. Women in early stages of pregnancy are recommended to consult their physician.
